3-6 hours Numbness due to anesthesia, avoid food and biting or drinking. 
24-48 hours Avoid chewing hard or sticky food, eat soft foods like mashed potatoes, lentils, rice or soups. 
2-3 days If the pain and swelling subsides, you can eat a normal diet but start slow with a soft diet. 
After crown placement You can eat whatever you want.
